Garage full of BMW's garage 50/51. Bill qualified 2nd on the grid and came in 3rd for race 1 today. M3's had it on all the Field in the winter like conditions. Glenn Seton 1st, David Towe 2nd.

To All - Thanks for your interest in the first outing for 1-42 since the resto!
The Pistonheads photo's are of the grid just prior to the first Practice sesion.
Qualifying was on the Friday afternoon in good, warm, dry conditions. New Kumho slicks gave me terrific grip and P2 with a time of 1:48.02 which is only 8 seconds faster than my best time in my '72 2002ti... Glenn Seton took pole in an '89 Schnitzer M3 with a 1:45.
We had three races and I was third in each, in a field of 35 Grp A and (Aussie) Group C touring cars. The M3 ran faultlessly all weekend and is testament to the underlying engineering. What great Cars !

Recent races at Sandown Historics in the M3. Very much a power circuit, not ideal for the M3, but finished 5th behind the V8 Commodores...
